Job Summary 

The Lead Edibles Packaging Technician is responsible for leading a team of packaging technicians performing manufacturing work on different manufacturing product lines within the facility in a labor-intensive environment. The Lead Edibles Packaging Technician oversees the set-up of processes and equipment, and the packaging of finished goods and other consumable products. They will guide the training of processes, enforce KPI metrics, and be held accountable to the detailed following of all established procedures.  

  

Essential Responsibilities 

Leads the operation of various manufacturing and processing lines in various Manufacturing Departments including:  

Packaging edibles including: Chews, Lozenges, Lotions, and Live Rosin Nectar 

Manual to Semi-automatic manufacturing and packaging, dispensers, liquid and solid encapsulation, , packaging, and labeling to produce products including tinctures, lotions, chews, and lozenges. 

Commercial kitchen equipment including mixers, ovens, double boiler/fire mixers, confectionary heating/cooling tables and other bakery/chocolatier equipment to produce, package and label infused edibles. 

Maintain a safe work environment, actively contributing to continuous improvements.  

Lead the weighing and dispensing activities of finished product, active ingredient(s), raw materials, and excipients. 

Document all manufacturing activities consistent with Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). 

Perform manual manufacturing activities as required. 

Oversee the keeping of manufacturing and facility spaces in a clean state. 

Maintain room and equipment logbooks. 

Perform minor equipment and process maintenance activities. 

Be well versed in the Company’s seed to sale software (BioTrack & Alleaves) and/or other regulatory mandated databases. 

Communicate daily and effectively with the Edibles Supervisor  

Maintain personal training status and records consistent with company policies and procedures. 

Experience And Qualifications 

Minimum 21 years of age 

2 years of managerial experience is preferred. 

Bachelor’s degree in business or related field is preferred. 

Strong leadership skills, ability to motivate and manage teams. 

Ability to work a full-time flexible schedule, potentially including evenings and weekends. 

Physical Requirements 

Work is performed in a production environment and requires the ability to sit and stand for long periods and to operate standard office equipment, packaging equipment or machinery and scales. Prolonged periods of sitting or standing and bend and kneel to obtain packaging components. Employees should be able to lift 10 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally.
